Ok, I've read a lot of the good and bad reviews. I'm writing this first impression 24 hours and about 5 usages of the table after I acquired/assembled it. I'll add longer term thoughts once that's appropriate. Assembly points... If you're a smallish person, make sure you have a partner to help assemble this. I'm 6'5" and even my wingspan made some of the elements of putting it together quite challenging. Although Innova provides all of the tools you'll potentially need, I strongly recommend having a socket wrench handy to make assembly MUCH easier. The instructions are reasonably clear though some of the pictures are pretty small, so take your time in determining which parts go where (the major parts aren't labeled but the hardware is on a nicely labeled card, which is easy to match to the instructions). The table part is preassembled but you'll have to unbolt the various parts to get the protective plastic completely off. Just remove them one at a time, pull the plastic out from underneath that part, and replace that bolt. It took about 90 minutes to completely install the unit and I found the machining to be right on the mark from start to finish; no major struggling to get things to fit together. As I mentioned, I am very tall, and I weigh about 265 pounds, and I find it quite sturdy and safe to use. This is my first time using an inversion table and the sensation takes a bit of getting used to, but it actually becomes quite relaxing if you give it a moment. The "massage" element is, of course, simply a vibration pad, which I suppose is exactly what one ought to expect for the price point, but it felt nice on my back and it warms up pretty quickly, too. All in all, my first impressions are quite positive and I'm curious to see how much this will help my back and neck. I'll update this in a few months when I have a little more time under my belt. Update, December 2022. I would still strongly recommend this unit. It's been steady as a rock with not the first hint of a problem. I find that using the least aggressive setting on the inversion and doing it for like 5 minutes makes a marked difference in the level of pain in my back. Make sure you take some time at setup to get the height adjustment right; it makes all the difference, especially when you're alone when you're using it. When it's properly balanced, it's pretty easy to pull yourself up out of the inverted position.
I had one of these before that cured my sciatica when Dr's could not. But loaned it to a family member and never got it back. So I bought this one and I actually like it much better. You can reverse the ankle braces on this one which was a big bonus for me as I have really bad ankles from years of sports injuries. The old one actually hurt my foot that I broke years ago but this one does not. You haven't lived if you've never suffered severe back pain. It is not a joke. You have to be careful and go slow using these but it's as smooth as butter raising up and down. And the relief of hanging upside down is immediate. I can only compare it to the other one I had. But this one just has more cushion. Feels like a must better quality and why at the time I bought it was ranked as number one. I have been recommending this to people I know who are having back issues. A few have gotten one themselves and have thanked me for it. I've even offered to let someone come try mine. I just won't be loaning it again. Lol But yes, if you're having back pain and especially sciatica. Don't be afraid to at least try this. The price was very competitive and it works great. It wasn't that difficult putting it together either. I might have had a tug of war once or twice but overall it didn't take very long. Maybe 30 minutes or so. Instructions were very easy to follow, again just take your time because it has to be just right. But very easy to use, very comfortable just lying on it. And should the ankle cuffs irritate your ankles in any way, just reverse them. Thanks and good luck.
When you hear those dreaded three words,”some assembly required”, you need not fear. The instructions are spot on! Many easy to follow instructions and diagrams. You can even scan the code and see an assembly video. While It is not the easiest to assemble, it can be done with two people. Most steps only require a single person but adding the seat to the frame will require two people. When I got to that part, I flipped the frame upside down. I didn’t have to fight gravity to then fasten the 4 bolts to hold the seat. The apparatus is very well made, sturdy construction. The included tools were all that I needed. The process took about 3 hours to complete. The heat and massage work extremely well. This inversion table does the job to relieve pain in the entire back! Not just lower back, but even as high as the shoulders. I would give it 5 stars if the assembly would have gone better. Still, you don’t have to let that stop you from getting this apparatus. It works extremely well. You can even spend a little more money and have it delivered to the room you want and have it assembled. For the money, this is first rate! I’m completely satisfied with this inversion table. I recommend it. One last mention, it is rated for 300 pounds.
I have a L5-S1 heriation where I got surgery and recovered. But now I got injured again and my spine feels so compressed I am desperate for relief. I decided to finally get a Inversion table as I noticed benefits of my Physical Therapist providing "Traction" where they grab your ankles and pull on you which relieves tension on your spine. This is a similar effect by providing vertical traction. Your weight of your body relieves the tension on your spine. I opted for this model with the massage and heat. ABSOLUTE worth it. I put it on full blast heat and massage and man....definitely makes it worth it and gives some relief. It's no magic fix so far but even my pain management doctor said the purchase was an excellent idea and highly recommends it. This one will likely stay with me til I no longer exist. It's built really solid. Like it's REALLY solid. It's very heavy of a unit so if you are the one with back issues, hopefully try and get some assistance with setting this up. Keep in mind of space, it's a very large unit! It does sort of fold up but only so much. Its still a large unit folded up and makes for a pain in the butt in my apartment with limited space but I got desperate for relief from the compressed feeling in my disc and this has helped so much already. I'm trying to get it to relieve a pinch where my foot is numb. If this helps relieve that I will definitely update this here. But otherwise it's worth it alone for relieving that compressed feeling in your spine that just doesn't go away. From what I experienced in my short time of owning this. I can highly recommend it. At $200, this is a back injured best friend.
This equipment was very easy to put together. The instructions were great and very easy to follow with just the right amount of detail to help get it right. It is very comfortable and felt so good. I can’t wait to use this on the daily to help with my back and hip issues.
The table is BETTER than just good; but the 5th star is earned for customer support which is superlative. Before I made the purchase several questions were answered within 24 hours. After assembly of the unit the massage pillow worked, but seemed to be turning itself off after about 8 minutes. A replacement was delivered within a week of the time that I enquired as to whether this is considered normal. Some brief background: I am 78 years old, have suffered from chronic back pain for over 20 years, have undergone physical therapy along with a Yoga like daily exercise routine, and most recently had an MRI that revealed age related spinal degeneration affecting my lower back and neck regions. My physician had little to offer. There were days where the pain radiated throughout my back and partially into my left leg. It often restricted in my ability to walk my dogs. Even sitting could be uncomfortable. After considerable research, and despite no conclusive agreement that an Inversion Table is much more than a placebo I decided to try one - - - and to save a few bucks if it turned out worthless I went to the highly rated but less expensive Innova product. Positives: 1.The Innova Table is easy to assemble with excellent instructions and videos available; but it does take some time and patience. 2. I adapted, quickly and easily to Inversion but I strongly recommend gradual increases in time and incline. 3. Balancing on the table is actually fun. 4. There has been a very definite improvement in my back pain. I assume it will never totally disappear, but is now reduced to a sort of very tolerable soreness...and I have only been at this for 7 weeks. 5. The table fits comfortably under an 8 foot ceiling and take up an acceptable amount of space. The Negatives: (every product has some, and they are minor with this table) 1. As noted by others, the "massage" pad is actually a " heated vibration" pad. I like it, but do not expect it to do everything. 2. The table is stable but could be more sturdy. I am certain I will get my money's worth, but we will have to see how it holds up over the long run. 3. I currently use the 30 degree incline, which is what the literature recommends as best for my age group. It works. Some products allow infinite adjustment of the angle. On the Innova I will have to go up to 45 degrees next. It might be advantageous if the design allowed more gradual increases. 4. I am on the table 3 times a day, My routine is 2 minutes incline, 2 minutes in a neutral position, 5 repeats. For many people this may take up too much of their day; but it's been working for me and enforces the reported advice that frequency of incline is more important than duration. Please consider that like most of what else is posted about Inversion Therapy; my advice is purely anecdotal. I truly like the product, love Innova, and can whole heartedly give this endorsement.

I buy a ton of products off Amazon and rarely find time to write reviews (even on the bad items). Well, I felt compelled to write a review about this product. Not because it was overly great or even terrible but because of one singe thing; I was SO impressed at how well thought-out the documentation and directions were presented to the consumer. When the huge heavy box was delivered I dreaded the fact that I was going to receive a sub par instruction manual with hard to read and understand directions but... I was surely mistaken. The way they laid out the parts list (separated by each step) and the way they laid out the nuts/bolts, etc (by each step) was a huge time saver. The nuts/bolts kit was shrink-wrapped on cardboard and separated by each step in the install process. Normally I would just receive a ziplock bag of nuts and bolts and I would have to count them and separate/sort them prior to even starting. The diagrams were also clear and concise and easy to understand (I had my 10 year old daughter help me with the set up). It probably took me about an hour or so to get it set up (not including unpacking and separating parts) but overall when I got it finished I didn't feel wore out or mentally tired because I had to make a lot of "assumptions" during the process, I felt like "hey, that wasn't that bad".... and I rarely feel that way! One note to increase the set up speed tremendously is to use an impact driver with a drill bit to fit the nuts (using the 2 wrenches supplied will work but it takes a lot of time and gives your hands/wrists/forearms a nice workout. If you don't have an impact driver then the next best thing is a socket set. Now, on to the details of the machine. There are some parts that seem like they have a little "play" in them and are loose, even though the bolts are securely tightened. One being the left arm bar/support (if on the machine) and the other being the foot rest (its what you stand on when mounting/dismounting. I'm sure they are safe they just wobble a bit. Since this is my first time using one of these machines it seemed like it was going back ALOT further than the decline degrees setting. That just takes a bit to get use to. I would recommend starting on the lowest setting first (15 deg) and going from there. You will only stay on this thing a couple minutes at a time. What works for me is to get to a manageable angle and then twist back and forth using the legs for leverage. The vibrating pad take a bit to get use to and is very bulky against your back and hard to adjust, but it is removable. Again, it takes a little bit to get use to but its a plus to have (my daughter gets on this thing more than me). Overall, it is very heavy duty and worth the money. I will enjoy it for a while.
I just received this inversion table. This is my 3rd one and, hands down, this is easily the best one I have owned. First, this thing is solid, they did not take any short cuts with this product. This could easily hold a heavier person. Second, I really like the pin that is used to determine your inversion. It is super easy to change inversion angles and it adds to the overall safety of the product. Third, the ankle clamps are very comfortable. Overall, this is one of the better products that I have bought. Anyone with lower back/hip issues would really benefit from this product.

(About the photos. Theo nes of the wife are in the final position. Don't tell her I posted them. The ones with me were immediately following assembly.) Ok. The pain is not completely gone yet. And perhaps I am setting too many expectations for a $200 table. But after trying every other form of mediæval torture device include what feels more like a corset than a lumbar brace, I am willing to do anything to alleviate back pain even a tiny bit. Enter the Innova ITM5900. A little background information. I am not a doctor nor a chiropractor. I am very suspicious of snake oil. I am currently 240 pounds with another 70 to go. Hanging upside down makes my belly look flat. :) I suffer from herniated discs in the L3-L5 region along with the lovely genetic predisposition to degenerative disc disease. After three rounds of trying to get anything done with the VA, they have decided it is better to do nothing to my back. At this point, I am willing to pay for a catheter, wheel chair, and spinal block to paralyse me from L3 downwards. Who cares if it is permanent if it gets rid of the back pain? So the $200 investment in this device was like playing a slot machine at the casino and winning big on the first pull. Assembly: Yes, there are some grammatical issues in the instructions that are more pet peeves of mine than anything else. (I will still write the manufacture to have them correct their grammar.) The instructions are clear and easy to understand. When you first open the box, it looks very intimidating, but another 78 year old reviewer on here said it too him all of 30 minutes, and I was not about to be bested by someone with a quarter century on me. It did take me longer than 30 minutes, but I was taking very frequent breaks due to mobility issues. You can hire a professional, but all the tools and parts are there. It is really simple to screw together with the two provided wrenches and get enough torque to feel everything is secure. I did not have any issues with any missing parts. It took me at most 2 hours to assembly by myself, but again, I am very immobile right now due to extreme lower back pain. Usage: The instructions recommend putting the locking pin in at the lowest setting and getting accustomed to it befire increasing. I like to try every function, so I tried every setting. Of course, I made sure the wife was standing by in case of any emergency. She laughed and continued taking photos. Even "flipping" the full 85 degrees the machine allows, I was able to gradually lower myself to that position and pull myself back up. Those concerns about being trapped are now gone from my mind. At most, you are using your arms to pull a quarter of your bodyweight. The actual table hangs from the fulcrum about six inches to move the fulcrum closer to center mass on the Y-axis. As long as the height is adjusted properly, the X-axis will take care of itself. With center mass at the fulcrum, you could easily move the world (to paraphrase Archimedes). Do stick to the 15 degrees initially until you get accustomed to it. Righting yourself does cause a bit of a head rush. I stay locked into it for a couple of minutes until the blood drains back where it belongs. Even the 15 degrees is enough to relieve some of the pressure in my lower back. It was the first time I was relatively pain free in two months. Pain went from an 11 to a 2 where it was more of a slight discomfort. As soon as I got off the machine, It was back up at about a 9. Be careful about spending extended period on the table. I would recommend no more than 20 minutes every couple of hours to start with. Your body will tell you it wants to get off. Listen to it. Just take it slow. Even small doses have been helpful for me. Make sure you set the height appropriately. Round up to the next inch if you are between. This should account for the soles of your shoes well. You will know it is right when it is easy to invert yourself and pull back up without a spotter. I am a hair over 5'9", so I set it at 5'10". It turns out to be the perfect pivot point where I don't have to have any upper body strength to manipulate it. Make sure you lock your ankles in tight. This is the one function of the device that is more difficult for me to use. The extended bar is helpful in that I don't have to bend over and grab my ankles to strap them in like with other tables. The pull lock on the end is a bit stiff, so it takes more muscle than I want to use when bent over, but it is easier to reach. It may loosen with time. Lock the ankles in as firmly as you can tolerate without curring off circulation to your feet. You will be hanging from your ankles like Achilles (two Greek references in one review). It is a bit disconcerting at first and you feel like you might slip through, but if the bar is snug, you will do fine. Don't worry if your feet leave the support bar when inverting. That is just gravity pulling you down. It just feels a bit scary at first. You'll do fine. Heat & Massage: I find the included massage/heat attachment to be a bit useless for anything more than added lumbar support. It connects to the table with two plastic clips on web belts similar to how a backpack connects. The massage modes are in my opinion weak and annoying. Hit the manual massage button 4 times to get to the steady setting. The steady setting helps to annoy my muscles and nerves into thinking the pain is gone, but it is just a vibrating massage and not shiatsu. That is what my masseuse is for. The heat was a bit weak. It did not feel much warmer than my body heat. But it is summer and I tend to run hot, so maybe I just didn't notice it. I will update this review after it gets some weeks worth of use, but my expectations thus far remain high. The first 24 hours have been a godsend!
I have a lot of spinal issues including broken. Been through a couple of cancer surgeries recently and all of my body is now compressing my spine more and in severe pain, Lymphedema and RA. I have used DRX machines at a Chiropractor, but with my recent Double Mastectomy and Radical Hysterectomy, logically don't think having a machine pulling on the areas trying to heal would be a smart decision. I did my research and even discussed this inversion table with my spinal doctor, OBYNE, breast surgeon, and Orthopedics. My response was that Inversion Tables would be a good choice and this brand is the best that they found. It was a super good price as well and so I purchased it. Yes, it took about 3 hours to put together, but the instructions on the video online was the best to use and honestly the build made a lot of common sense to me, so putting it together again might be so much easier and memorized. The tools come with it and are nicely put on a paper base labeling each part with also the step it goes to, and shrunk wrapped to keep in place. Very nice packaging. Very well built, would trust this over any other inversion table. sturdy, and like that you do not have to go full inversion or try to balance yourself to whatever position you want, because they have a pin system to set at multiple inversions and guarantee you not to go any further upside-down if that is what you want. Problem - The claim is that it works for people from 4 foot something. I am 5 foot tall and there is not way I will be able to get on this thing. You set the height of the person with the bar that the ankle holder is on. The shorter the person, the higher step it is to get on this thing. The part that I need to stop on to was positioned at my thigh!!! I cannot lift that high and twist to get in around the bars and poles, especially with my in pain spine. I was thinking to try putting a stool or steps to walk up and get on it, but that didn't work either, because there are bars in the way and when your spine is in pain, there is no way to twist and lift around things to get on, not to mention that the moment you go to get on and your butt is pushing on the seat, you start to go backwards and you are not strapped in yet. When I put the bar to the floor on the tallest setting, I still have a hard time twisting over things but can at least step onto it, but then my head is where my butt should be on the cushion, and once you are on the table, you cannot move the foot bar because your weight is on it. Another product where the videos show such ease in and out and use of it, when it is impossible unless you are tall. My son is 5 foot 6 inches and he couldn't navigate either. I was looking into returning this, but the return policy said in un-used and same condition and boxed the same way etc. That is impossible, as the plastic they put on the back of the cushion was left on when they bolted the bar onto the back, so in order to bolt to the frame you have to break through the plastic to get into the holes etc, and the original packaging on each piece is never going back on and a puzzle to put back in the one box it came in. I called the company, and they were very nice to work with, and was going to help me in returning it for refund. BUT......this is a great product, built great, and can't even imagine how they are making this for such little money in the USA because this is high quality material and definitely cost them more to ship to me free through Amazon and then they were also going to be out the shipping back to them. So, I decided I wanted to keep this item and try to figure out how to use it in other ways, because I feel bad returning a great product that for the money, I could see what I could do to make it work. The heat and massage pad really works great....and is removable and does not have to be used with the inversion table. I put it on my own massage table or the floor and it works great on my back, simulating my physical therapy on a half noodle type thing on the spine. That alone would probably cost the money I spent on this thing if I were looking for a heating or massaging item that was a piece of crap for the money (which most are), yet this one is awesome!!! I also laid the cushion back on the floor with and without the heating massaging pad, and it was great to be on. Leaving the bar on the back of the cushion, you get a little tilt taking a tiny pressure off while massaging, so that works too. BUT....what I really need to do is to create a frame that would work for this and for me and other short people. Just made for us. The problems that come in are when these companies are trying to create for a variety of heights and weights and a one size really does not fit all. So if you are a consumer..........if you are under 5.5, for $200 the cushion and heating massage thing are great, and I am using the frame as the perfect stand up push up base.......works great to hold the handles from the back side of the frame and lean in for standing pushups. So like having a gym. For maker of the product...... if you would like to reach out to me on coordinating a product for people that have spinal pain already and also the ones that are shorter, please......do so. I would like to work with you on creating the perfect product for all of us out here that have no other options that you are missing out on. This company has a nice customer service, great instructions and great product for a super great price. Now we just need to perfect it to work with the people that are below 5 foot 5. I will not be returning this item, because as a person that understands business and money, the shipping alone will be more for the company to pay than I paid for this product. I don't want to see them go out of business, lose money or raise the prices. I want to help solve the problem and make them get out there with their great product and also help my spinal problems. So, I am serious, I would like the company to reach out to me to work together to make a better product for a huge population that is being missed. And when our spines are compressing, we are shrinking in height, so need to have a different product.
12/3024. Put together in an hour or less. Just get your tools out, 1/2 socket and wrench, and allen on a drill was handy but tighten by hand. I like the setting that stop you at specific angles. 3 was as far as I have gone so far. I am just not used to falling backwards. It did hurt my back like a hard flat surface, I like soft beds and a hard bed hurts that mid back area. Hopefully this will change over time. The thing that really really hurts is the heating pad. It adds more pressure on my whole spine that I just can't handle. So if you have that consern then best buy without it. The positive to that is, it does come off. Storing it seems to be a little odd, I have yet to work that out. I did get this for siatica and I hope this is what really helps. Will update in a few months.
I recently purchased the INNOVA HEALTH AND FITNESS ITM5900 Advanced Heat and Massage Inversion Table, and it has truly transformed my routine. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell that this inversion table is built to last—it's exceptionally sturdy and well-constructed. The frame feels solid, providing me with the confidence I need to fully relax while inverting. Unlike some other inversion tables I’ve tried, this one doesn’t wobble or feel unstable, no matter what angle I choose. The leg holders are also a highlight; they're designed for comfort and effectively keep me secure while inverting. I appreciate that I can use the table for longer sessions without discomfort. The heated massaging back piece is definitely the star of the show. It adds an extra layer of relaxation, making the inversion experience so much more enjoyable. The combination of heat and massage is soothing, alleviating tension in my back and neck, which is a game-changer after long hours at my desk. Overall, I highly recommend the INNOVA ITM5900 to anyone looking for a quality inversion table that elevates both comfort and relaxation. The sturdy build, comfortable leg holders, and soothing heat and massage features truly make for an excellent product. It’s become an essential part of my wellness routine, and I can't imagine going back to life without it!
This a great inversion table. The table comes in a well designed box, inside there is an easy to follow manual, parts, bolts, screws are grouped together in order steps for assembly. Once together, it is a heavy duty Fram, very nice padded table, and the spinal and heat vibration insert is great to use.
Best thing I could have bought!! Easy to assemble, easy to use. Love the back massage with heat. Would be nice if it would lock in some way in order to transport easier. This has saved my life. Whole family uses it. One person in family said neck hurt worse after use. Majority has experienced pain relief. With daily use, less headaches, less neck and back pain. Better circulation in arms and hands. Do feel like you could fall out of it.
Pros -my back feels good cons -horrendous assembly -massager isnt massager. its a vibrator. so weak, my mother would be upset -heat is non existent -hard to flip past lowest setting
I bought this one for myself, my sister has one and I have used it many times , Great results.! Start out slow and increase your level, I like 2, and I do it in one minute rotations along with reverse bending over to stretch the verterbrae even more great for sciatica. I bought two more, one for a Chiropractor friend of mine... Loves it. And one for my Brothers company. the boys in the office made a gym, they work a lot, they love it, Varying in height and weight, I showed each one how to adjust the machine to their personal needs.
The assembly is just time consuming ~ just know it’s a 3 hour assembly & I’m a pro Handyman. When you’re done, expect some final adjustments as each family member finds their settings. That said, it’s really nice! More comfortable all around from my teeter table & the heated message is a game changer~ we just float horizontally & get a back message sometimes~ makes the entire thing more useable as one doesn’t really need to invert at all to gain benefits & back relief.
Whoever wrote the assembly instructions should be promoted and given a raise. Clear, concise, easy to follow. All the parts were in the box and easily identifiable. Tools are provided as well so you really don't need anything to assemble this but your ability to read. I assembled it by myself and I'm no mechanical genius. The unit appears solid and holds my 220# weight quite well. The heated massage actually is effective and feels great. Highly recommend! A caveat, although they provide 2 wrenches, they aren't the best and a quarter inch socket set would speed things up considerably.
it is a good product
Recommended by my doctor and it works great. My advice, start with limited recline and time and work your way up.
The first time using an inversion table. Absolutely amazing. Assembly wasn’t to bad. Functionality was great. Adjustable to fit myself and my wife. Love it
Everything is easy to assemble and use. Works great as needed
I've never had spinal issues but I'm tall and I started complaining every day about my lower back. I almost started go to a chiropractor and just pay every week for a them to "adjust" me. Glad I just bit the bullet and ordered this thing. It was amazing the first time I got off of the table, I was like new man. My wife tried it and she had pretty much the same experience. Even a slight incline is going to provide a lot of relief; one really shouldn't expect to be able to recline to 90 degrees at first. Some people with aggravated back problems will probably NEVER recline past 45 degrees. It's okay, you're not a bat and you're not supposed be hanging upside down anyway lol. When I recline past 45 degrees for more than a minute or two, I need at least a half a minute when I return back up to get the blood back to my body and not feel light headed. So give yourself a few minutes to let your blood pressure equalize through your body after you have inverted. Just bring the table back to flat, and lay there. Be careful coming back up too fast, you don't want to faint while your ankles are secured to the table. Really not a big deal, it's common sense that you don't want to get up from a inverted position too fast and without a safe place to land if you faint. So bring the table to the 180 degrees (laying flat on table) and give yourself a minute to feel "normal" before finally returning to the fully upright position. It is easy enough to assemble, 2 people is good if you're not handy. The hardware is separated and marked for relatively easy assembly. Or call a local handyman and pay him/her $150 to put it together for you. This table has already saved me thousands of bucks in adjustment fees from the chiropractor. I didn't need a chiropractor, I just needed this table. You may be in a different situation, this is not medial advice. It isn't necessary to recline to 90 degrees. I recline to 45 degrees and turn on heat and massage, then go to 90 degrees at the end for a few minutes. It hurt my ankles in the beginning but I wore work boots for a couple of weeks until my ankles got used to it. Now I just wear shorts, no shoes and hop right on. I've had the table for almost 2 years, I still use the table 3 times a week at minimum. It is a game changer for $300 bucks, best decision I've ever made for my back and spine. Wish I got this thing sooner, I just didn't know how well they actually worked. Now I know, this thing is awesome!
I had purchased this primarily for my wife which is 5' tall and 270lbs. I use it as well. Her Orthopedic specialist recommend it for her Osteoarthritis & Sciatica pain. Sadly she isn't able to use it because of a few reasons: 1) The Sciatica pain from lower back into both legs is worse on it, 2) Her weight pulling on her ankles when upside down causes her pain in the feet/ankles, 3) She has a heart issues and 4) Vertigo. I as well have a lot of lower back / SI Joint pain. However; I am 6' tall and weight 240lbs. at 1st I couldn't be on it more than 5 mins at a time. After using it approx. 4times I was able to stay on it longer and longer without it hurting my back, legs or feet. I find the longer I am on it the more relief I get from the table. Hoover; I feel everyone's pain is different and the relief one gets will vary. If I am on the table upside down for 15mins I get approx. 1hour relief. Then I have to repeat. The massager on the table I am 50/50 on. While it does massage and produce heat I am not impressed with it. I have a handheld massage and tens unit which works a lot better. The table my wife and I find it very stable for those that are short, tall and over weight. Wife did find it hard to use as well because of her height of 5'. You have to adjust the foot pedestal up and down according to your height. So if your short it goes up. So after adjusting it she has to step upwards a couple feet to be able to get on/in it which she finds difficult for her weight, size and height. I do have a condition that can cause me to faint if I get up to fast. So when using this table I have to come back upright extremely slow so I don't faint and I only use it if my wife or friend is here with me. I do highly recommend this product for those with back / si joint issues. It is very sturdy most of all for those that are over weight if you assemble it correctly. Took me by myself 4hrs. If I would've had help I am sure I could've had it together in 1hr. Please check with your health professional first if this is right for your health. Also before using read the manual most of all the first few pages. It lists many health issues if you have why you can't use it.

First, I had a little hiccup when I received the inversion table. After receiving the table, it was missing the tools/parts and instruction booklet with the box not being in the best condition. I got on the phone with customer service and was greeted with a warmest of welcomes and after I mentioned to the receptionist of my problems, a genuinely nice apology was given followed by the date of a brand-new replacement arrival which was to be delivered in two days. I was given instructions on what to look for and explained in detail about the return of the defective inversion table. I would have given a 3 rating because of how I received the first table and missing the tools/parts and booklet, but customer service changed ALL and speedy replacement table delivery. Fast forward: The table did not take me too long to put together, not counting the times I stopped and watched television. Overall, it took me around an hour and half to put it together. I used it once for 5 minutes to feel it before I started doing my sessions. I was so shocked at how easy it is to invert and then get back to upright position so quickly. I gave myself around a 30% grade, which was not too bad. The ankle holding system was really nice and easy to work on. I am around 240lbs, and it was extremely comfortable, and I had no fear of falling with my feet and ankles securely locked in the holding system. I will see how the heating pad goes in the future and do an update here on how that works. I so look forward to my sessions with this inversion table. The price was just toooooo good to pass up, not to mention an outrageous number was quoted from a clinic the other day when I was looking to get a decompression done. After talking to a friend who had a decompression done at the exact same office, she decided to get the inversion table since it does the same thing. You will not go wrong with this purchase. It will pay for itself in the first few sessions.
Very comfortable to use. Sturdy construction. However. The hardware is rather weak so I swapped them out with grade 8 bolts, and the straps for the massager aren't long enough to wrap around the body pad, still going to have to figure that one out
Very nicely made. The back is leather and very sturdy I’d definitely recommend
The table works pretty well, but after using for three weeks one of the ankle grip pads is torn and needs replacing. I'm raising the rating to four stars. Innova was very responsive and quick with replacing the ankle pads.
Was not too difficult to put together, just take your time and double check directions. I tried to keep the item facing the same as in the pictures in the directions so that I knew I was putting things on as they showed. If the image showed it facing left and mine was facing right, it might be easy to put an item on the wrong side or whatever. Worked well for me. Better then having to take things apart after you realize you put it on the wrong side, upside down or whatever.
Came with easy instructions and was easy to assemble.
I must say this is helping my back issue. It’s not super comfortable but I’m ok with it. It’s awkward to get into ( not good for people with bad backs!) and I’m not crazy about how the ankle brackets fit. Plus when you are done you have to bend way over to reach the latch - pull up and outward- to release the ankle brackets, so for a person with a bad back that you just relieved by inverting now you almost undo the benefit of it! Poor design. Very awkward! That latch should be taller at the very least so people can reach it without bending over. As for the vibrate/heat thing, you have to put it on before you invert and put the remote back into the Velcro pouch because the wire doesn’t reach to your hand when you invert! So if you are inverted and want to adjust it, too late. You would have to go back up. Another ridiculous design. I haven’t used the vibrate/heat but once so far but will try it again at some point, especially in winter since the table is in our unheated basement. Despite all these annoyances I am using the table faithfully each day. 5 minutes almost fully inverted and, with some isometric exercises and walking, it is keeping my pain at bay. I have severe spinal stenosis L3 and4. I am 66 years old. Overall happy with it. Update: Heat/vibrate stinks. You can’t use heat without the vibrate! Another issue is if you fully invert like I did, it’s hard to pull yourself up when you are finished. So after 5 1/2 months of using this thing, one day as I pulled myself up I felt extreme pain on my right side and I was alone and could barely get myself off. When I finally did I could not stand as my pain was excruciating! Had to go to the ER. Was in massive pain for two weeks. It’s now day 20 and I still cannot walk! I’ve had to buy a Walker and a shower seat! I have doctor appts. to explore spine surgery. It’s been hell. And now I have this huge monolith in my basement collecting dust. BEWARE!
I was getting desperate. I am a rancher, female, 61 and have always been active. I've had thoracic problems for a long time and over the last couple years some hip pain. Within the last year both have gotten worst, but I've always just worked through it. The last few months have been horrible but the last few weeks it got to the point I couldn't ride my horse and trying to get anything done, like fixing fence or even feeding horses was too painful Feeding cows all winter or just using the tractor was becoming a chore that I hated and I was feeling depressed and didn't want to do anything. I could hardly get out of my chair without major pain. I received this three days ago. It took about 1.5 hours for my achy body to put it together ( Husband was out cutting hay so I did it on my own). I laid on it level for a few minutes and then slowly took it back to the 45 degree position a few times. It was very comfortable. And this was the first night that I didn't have the burning stabbing pain in my hip. The next morning, I fixed fence on a sloped area and realized how good I felt. My jaw was relaxed, not clenched from pain , I was moving so much better and finally felt good. I hadn't realized just how bad I had felt for so long. I'm using it a few minutes a few times a day at the 45 degree angle and I feel so much better than I have in a long time. My friend just came by and told me how much better I looked. She compared it to seeing pain in a horses eyes (its amazing what the eyes say). She said the last time she saw me she could see the pain in my eyes when we were moving cows. In over 50 years of riding I never got off a horse that gave me trouble, yet I hurt so bad that day I got off my horse and had her lead her back when my husband showed up in the pickup. I don't care for the heat/massage pad. You can't just do heat and that was the main reason I bought this model. I referred my daughter to the same machine without the heat pad for a lesser price. I am very happy that I have purchased this. It has been the best investment I have made in a long time

This is a very sturdy table. The framework is quite well made, with good instructions. The only bit that got me scratching my head was the assembly (and identification!) of the plastic guard parts. Unlike many other inversion tables, one really has to TRY to get pinched, etc. on this unit. A big hole in the assembly directions is the mounting of the rear (on the foot support) pads to lock the ankles in. The pads are supplied with a 'U' shaped piece of sheet metal around them. The piece of pipe that they mount to has a slot cut into the top of it. After pushing the mounting bar thru the pad & sheet metal 'U', the instructions say to "make sure the metal cover wedges into the slot". There is only one slot. It is quite a bit wider than the sheet metal is thick. I used a tie-wrap (see photos) to hole the sheet metal down into the slot, which provided a firm mount. Using the table is a breeze! Unlike others, the handles provided allow one to 'straighten up' and end the inversion without assistance. Unlike other tables I have used, the platform provided does not cradle the body. It is a nice padded surface, but does not provide a natural resting place for the hip bones, etc. so that you feel secured by your own weight. Don't get me wrong, you won't slide off, but I've been on other tables that make you feel more 'at one' with the platform. The heater/massager.. meh. I'd trade it for a better lumbar support. The heater is good, feels nice. However, you CAN'T TURN OFF THE MASSAGER!! You can turn off the heat. If the heater is on, the massager WILL be doing something. It is more of a percussive event than a massage. And I don't want it ALL THE TIME! We'll be keeping it, I hope the manufacturer will read these reviews and make a real WINNER on top of their great, sturdy frame.

Really like this inversion table. Put it together in less than an hour. It does have a decent footprint, which was expected. Our living space is on the smaller side, so we put it on a 3x5 door mat to protect the floor, and also to slide it around on. We kind of store it in front of the door, and slide it out to use it. What we've found: - the platform that you lay on is decently comfortable - we are tall and on the bigger side (5'10 & 6'3, 245 and 265) and both find the table accommodates us well. - the heat & massage functions are NOT built in. They are a separate unit that you slide onto the table, and there was no way we could use them. Just way too uncomfortable and bulky, and you have to use both the heat and massage functions at the same time. We gave this piece away to the brother in law (we give him all the stuff we don't want). - wife would have loved to have built in heat! - the adjustment function is preset at 15 degree intervals. I'm pretty sure we knew about and expected this, but having more options would have been great. Going from 15 to 30 degrees is a big change, and can feel really weird if you're not used to it. Would have been nice to have this functional piece designed bigger and further away from the action, so you could maybe have options every 10 degrees, instead of 15. - we always start out with the lowest setting, and having to get back up to vertical and unscrew and re-screw the pin each time is a bit of a pain, but it really takes less than a minute, so it's not a huge factor. - the ankle/leg holder area is designed well and is easy to use, but is designed for people with super skinny legs, so it doesn't really "fit" us, but still holds us in place. - if you're looking for the directions for using the table, I think they're on the back of the table, making it hard to read them. Pull up a chair, or take a picture of them. BEST ADVICE: start at the lowest incline setting, and do it for a few minutes/5 minutes, before moving to the next. Take your time, learn how to go slow when moving, and use your arms to slowly shift your center of gravity. We love it.
So I gave this product 4 stars. It should have 5 for the quality, packaging and overall satisfaction for the end product, however it would have a zero for the product concept. Inversion table. Dont do any type of inversion table till you read this lol. So I love my husband. Some wives don’t. If you don’t … definitely make this purchase after solidifying a life insurance policy on your spouse. I thought I was making wonderful wife decisions by buying him an inversion table for his sore back. Wife of the year, right? Surely I could ring up his Amex for many months without complaints after I made this wonderful gift for him. Wrong. He was upside down for less than 3 minutes… the dog kicked his face, sneezed on him in a helpless position, snorted a bit and then my hubs uprightes. Shortly after I see my husband looking greenish gray and sitting on the bed. Nauseous, light headed, not looking awesome. 6 hours goes by and I remembered three years ago he had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted for v tech episodes… apparently it kicked in gear and the inversion caused stress on his heart . Whoops. I’ll be sending this back. Read up on the health restrictions before you buy a table. Now he’s calling his mother telling her I tried to kill him.
Product arrived in perfect condition. Just received it yesterday, so this is my initial review, to be updated as time goes on. Product was packaged very well. Instructions were very clear, as long as you read them carefully, and look at the illustrations. Several wrenches were provided, but the assembly process will be much easier if you have a 1/2 inch socket handy. You will also need a phillips head screwdriver near the end. The assembly process took about an hour. The hardest part of the install was attaching the seat assembly to the frame. It would have been helpful to have a 2nd person, but it can be done by one person. All the parts were clearly labeled, and organized by the assembly steps. Very helpful! A few notes about the first use. I have a very bad back (spondylolisthesis), and I found the heat/massage pad quite uncomfortable. I had to remove it for my own use, you may have a different experience. The user height adjustment is very accurate. My only initial complaint is the headrest adjustment. You have to remove the two bolts that attach the headrest to the frame, move the headrest to the appropriate position, and reinstall the two bolts. It seems like there could have been an easier way. Once you are secured into the ankle restraints, reclining is as easy as raising your arms one at a time. The product seems very sturdy, and well constructed. I inverted to about 80%, and completely relaxed while listening to Dark Side of the Moon. Initial reaction is that I am really going to enjoy this purchase. To be continued...
I get on it every day for a few minutes. It is a sturdy and heavy device. It took me a few hrs to assemble because ironically it stresses my back to be bending to put together. On the bulky side so I leave it in a corner in my garage.
I bought this inversion table because I get lower-back pain, and I use an inversion table as one part of a program of back stretching to help prevent and relieve the tension which I believe is a factor in causing pain. I used to have a simpler, more basic inversion table, but when I moved I decided on this one because of the heat/vibrator pad and the extended ankle-release bar. And the cost seemed low for the features. Assembly: One look at the package contents and I knew there was no way I could assemble this table. (I assembled my previous one myself.) I paid a professional to assemble it, and he had to make several calls to the manufacturer and get a replacement for one of the cross-posts that was drilled crooked. The instructions were unclear on several points and he had to get advice from them more than once. The company was very responsive and shipped the replacement part properly. On a scale of one to five I give them a 1 for manufacture and a 5 for service. The heat function is slow to warm up and then gets too hot for my comfort. I probably will not use it. I like the vibrator function. It seems to help relax the muscles which helps with the stretching. The post that holds the foot rest is wobbly. I judge this to be a risk for slipping off when you step on and off. Get on and off extremely carefully. The ankle clamp will not grip my ankles firmly. One setting is too lose and the next if I forced it enough to engage would be like a bench vise screwed all the way down. It lacks an intermediate setting that would be firm but comfortable. The long ankle-release bar is very nice. My previous inversion table required me to bend all the way down to release my feet. I can reach this one with just a slight bend forward. Does it work? I have not seen any scientific studies about whether or not an inversion table relieves back pain, so all I have is my own subjective, unblinded, N=1, experience. But I think it helps. I expect to continue using it on a daily bases along with my other stretching. I can recommend this unit with reservations, if you are tolerant of some quality issues in return for an attractive price, and if you are mechanically inclined or have access to someone who is, for the assembly process. UPDATE (four months later): I've managed to get a firmer grip from the ankle clamp by wearing shoes, which move my legs up a bit and positions the clamp lower down. It is now firm with a good grip. I went back and forth on the heat/vibrator pad, trying it with and without, and I've decided I definitely like both the heat and the vibrator. I use the vibrator on the setting that gives a steady vibration on the lower back only, since that's where my issue is. I am not a doctor, but I do think that used in conjunction with my regular stretching, the inversion table helps with my lower-back pain.
Let’s start with the most important thing: In the first 2 minutes of use at a 15-degree angle, I felt a huge pop in my lower back - the kind that would have my chiropractor doing the happy dance - and the intense, Advil-resistant pain stopped instantly. My third time on the table, I got quite dizzy when I stood up. That’s no fault of Innova, but it’s a common consequence of getting your inner ear accustomed to inversion. Don’t underestimate how important it is to have someone around until that feeling subsides. I’ve fallen into a couple of chairs due to sudden disorientation after advancing to 30-degree angle, probably too quickly. You don’t want to get dizzy or fall forward while your legs are trapped. Pros: The installation videos are outstanding, so much so that my friend and I (think Lucy and Ethel) were able to put it together with only a few minor hiccups. The screws, bolts and tools are expertly packaged and labeled by each step. You don’t have to search for anything. You have to love a company that puts its customer service information right on the shipping box. They’re not hiding or sending you to some useless online chat box. This inversion table is very good looking, which is nice because it’s an enormous creature that needs it’s own zip code, as they all are. The ankle restraints are very comfortable and secure even for skinny ankles and the cushioned back is very well-made. Cons: We didn’t notice minor tears in the arm rest coverings until we assembled it, when it was too late. If they don’t lead to bigger rips, it’s no big deal, but make sure you inspect each part carefully. The wrenches they supply are decent, but they were wobbling toward the end and a socket wrench would speed things up. Use your own tools. The heating and vibration pad is absolutely not worth the additional $60. Innova’s model without it sells for $138 on Amazon. There’s no adjustment on the heat and the vibration is so loud that you can forget relaxation. Besides, it does next to nothing. I pretty much threw $60 away. Get your own heating pad and go for the less expensive model. That’s why this isn’t a 5-star review. All in all, this is a great table and huge relief when pain starts disrupting your life.
This is really neat how it works...stretches you back out like an accordian less than a minute a day does the trick....give it a shot.
This bad boy really does leaving you hanging!! Really, if your back requires a brief respite once in a while, this may be the way to go. I have found relief from compression pain, although it does return after several hours the relief is definitely tangible.
When using the item my back feels amazing. The compression that occurs during the day spreads out and allows me to relax. However, I got this for my bad back, and putting it together really hurt my back. I would have hoped that something to help you would have been easier to put together. The massager is not really needed but the heat really helps your muscles relax.
I received the inversion table and table is good but the heat/massage piece did not work I sent a request for replacement and still does not work Not very responsive customer support
I work at an appliance store loading ranges, refrigerators, washers and dryers all day. Recently I damaged a nerve in my leg and also experiencing sciatic nerve pain. I used to have an InvertAlign 5 which I loved. I had loaned it to a friend over a year ago and finally decided to give it to him. Then this happens, so Wednesday night I was in so much pain that went to my Amazon Smile account looking for another InvertAlign and instead found the Innova ITM5900. I decided to give it a try. I received it yesterday morning. My wife helped me put it together, because I’ve been bedridden since Monday. So, last night I used it for less than 20 minutes. About 5 minutes on setting 1 then about 8 minutes on string 2. Just trying to reintroduce myself to using an inversion table. I had the massager on the highest intensity and reclined back as far as setting 2 goes. I had three deep pops in my lower spine and instant relief. Ok, this is what you need to know. I haven’t been able to sit or stand for more than a couple minutes because of the extreme pain. This morning I got up with less pain, used the inversion table for only a couple of minutes and was able to walk around the house for a half hour afterwards. This is amazing progress! If you’re in the same boat I’m in, and you’re wondering what to do, don’t pass this up. Get one, have someone put it together for you if you’re unable to, and try it out. You’ll be on your feet again before you know it. Oh ya, I forgot to mention, it’s so much better than my InvertAlign was!!! One other thing, I am 300lbs and this machine feels very sturdy! Thank you Innova!!!
I ordered this about a month ago due to long term lower back issues. I needed something to stretch out my lumbar area, which has been a persistent source of tightness and pain for years. I'm so glad I bought this. It showed up in a large box, "some assembly required", but no worries. The instructions were very detailed and clear, and included all necessary parts and tools. As long as you follow the instructions carefully and make sure you snug down all the connection points properly, you will find this to be a solid and sturdy unit when fully assembled. As far as the actual features, the inversion options start at 30 degrees and increase in roughly 15 degree increments up to full 90 degree inversion. So far I haven't tried more than 45 degrees, which provides good lower back traction, but I can definitely feel the blood rushing to my head, so I only use it for about 5-10 minutes per session. It seems to do a very good job of isolating my problem area, and has been providing some much needed relief from pain and stiffness. The table has a back support pad with heat and various vibrating massage options, with an AC adapter that plugs into a standard wall outlet for power. The only downside is that this is a fairly large, heavy item that will require some free floor space. You can fold it into a closed position (I recommend removing the foot bar when you do) for storage in a closet. It's big and unwieldy to move around, so it's best if you can just find a place to leave it set up, with some free space around it to allow for unobstructed movement. Aside from those logistical considerations I absolutely love this unit.
My intention was to use this item to help reduce back pain. It helped my back some at the time when I used it. On the other hand it hurt my ankles. Was not able to use it.
Pros: I feel so much pain relief. I have four bulging discs and an old compression fracture. This really helps things go back into place. Nothing else in this review matters as much as this. I have fewer headaches and migraines. It's inexpensive Sturdy. It's not going to come apart, which is important for a device like this. Neutral: I ended up not using the vibration or heat function. It feels nicer with it off. I could have saved some money with the basic unit. Cons: Very bulky and will not fold and stay against a wall. So heavy that if you have a back problem you won't want to keep it under a bed and get it out every time. My PT warned me about the clamshell design of the way it holds your ankles. Personally I can maneuver and bend down well enough to get this working, but if you have mobility problems, it's hard to get into place and it can be hard to clamp down the clamshells on your ankles. I also have beefy ankles and I have to stand on tip-toe for the clamshells to be in the right place when I close them, and then further maneuvering to get the balance right for inverting. With all this, I do recommend it. If I had to re-purchase, I might look at models that can be stored BUT I do wonder if easier storage makes it less sturdy. My next house will just have to have an inversion room.
Assembly was easy. Maybe two hours. Recommend having a small toolset with a crescent wrenches and a socket set. Be careful not to over tighten. Issue began with allen screws and wrench provided with the product. I'm a little on the built side, tend to skim manuals, because I have years of experience, probably missed a warning, and am safety conscientious; so I wanted to ensure a solid assembly. Forgot my torque output potential is a bit heavy. Came together just perfectly. Frame looks a little twisted because I overtightened. Loosened some bolts, used my biceps, and made a few hammer blows. Mostly straightened out. Rest should correct during use from my body weight stretching it into the natural level shape. | UPDATE: Frame is straight. A few kicks and flexes in the right areas. all set... Also, took a foam cylinder from the seat attachment point covering, and superglued it to the back top most center metal seat frame end. Be sure to do this. Otherwise you will ding paint and drywall when unit is in the storage position against a wall. | Took two Flips. One at 45. Another at sixty. First half flip. Immediately felt like years worth of tension and aches were just removed. Total head rush. Very cool. Difficult to snap a selfie to send to my friends while on it. My face looked crazier than being on a rollercoaster. Said to wear tennis shoes. Of course I was eager, and well, got a surprise second stretch drop after back flipping. Price is great. Haven't mounted the heat & massage pad. Should be a one minute if job, and compliment the system well. Great piece to own. Highly recommend. Just be extra careful not to overtighten anything and continuously check level (no frame twist) during assembly. Like I said. My fault. Wanted it to be safe and overdid it a little. No worries. Will work itself out, and I can always adjust further if needed. Update: ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED AS PLANNED. Be CAREFUL not to overtighten, in order to avoid the issue I encountered. Bolts and screws can easily be checked after several uses and tightened extra if necessary. Again: JUST BE EXTRA CAREFUL NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN.
If you're no stranger to an inversion table, this thing is as advertised. It's a very nice table for a reasonable price point. However, if you're not very mechanically inclined, definitely have 2+ people to assemble it. It's big, bulky, and kind of awkward to assemble by yourself. But, it does relieve the stress on the back by stretching you out. The entire thing is built well and sturdy. I'd suggest a ratchet and socket over the wrenches they provide, but the wrenches do work to assemble it.
I bought this machine to treat a sciatica issue that allows exercise without putting weight on feet and this fits well for recuperation. Package was extremely good...... Instructions clear and concise..... Bolts etc with a dummy card numbered by stages.........easy to assemble..... Actual use is excellent Great purchase and good value.
